Peshawar, March 5, 2025: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed was stopped at Peshawar Airport on Wednesday while attempting to board a flight to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, despite reportedly having court approval to travel.

According to sources, immigration officials at the airport prevented Javed from boarding his flight, even though the Lahore High Court (LHC) had ordered the removal of his name from the Pakistan Exit Control List (PNIL).

In a statement to the media, Faisal Javed expressed his frustration, claiming that Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials refused to acknowledge the LHC’s ruling.

“I had a flight scheduled for 3:00 PM today, but I was not allowed to travel. I showed them the court order, but they ignored it. The FIA officials disrespected the judicial instructions.”

Javed further alleged that the government had failed to implement the court’s decision, unlawfully restricting his right to travel for religious obligations.

While no official statement has been issued by the authorities regarding the incident, the denial of travel despite court orders raises concerns about potential political interference in legal matters.

The incident adds to the ongoing tensions between PTI leadership and government institutions, with Javed accusing authorities of deliberately obstructing his movement despite judicial clearance.

It remains to be seen whether the government will respond to the allegations or if Javed will pursue legal action over the violation of his travel rights.
