Islamabad, April 25, 2025: In a ceremony held at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Headquarters, Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa awarded promotion letters to 65 CDA employees, elevating them to the post of Junior Assistant.

The event was conducted in the presence of CDA Member Administration Talat Mahmood, Director HRD, General Secretary of CDA Workers Union Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, and a large number of CDA employees. These promotions, officials said, were granted strictly on merit, in accordance with the Chairman’s merit-based policy and the Charter of Demands agreed upon with the CDA Mazdoor Union (CBA).

Chairman Randhawa congratulated the newly promoted employees and urged them to work with honesty, dedication, and professionalism, emphasizing that their advancement should serve as a motivation to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the institution.

He also announced that training programs would be arranged to enhance the skills and capacity of the newly promoted staff, ensuring they remain well-equipped to serve the authority efficiently.

In his address, Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin expressed his gratitude to Chairman Randhawa and Member Administration Talat Mahmood for their worker-friendly policies. He recalled that the CBA had secured a 30% promotion quota for Grade 1 to Grade 10 employees back in 2006, which led to hundreds of promotions in 2011. “Alhamdulillah, today’s promotions have also been granted purely on merit,” he stated.

On this occasion, Chaudhry Yasin formally proposed increasing the promotion quota from 30% to 50%. Chairman Randhawa responded positively, instructing the Member Administration to initiate the process for formal approval of the proposal.

The ceremony reflected a spirit of recognition and inclusivity, as CDA’s leadership reiterated its commitment to meritocracy and professional growth within the organization.
