Islamabad, April 18, 2025: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has pledged to deliver a crushing defeat to terrorists, vowing they will never again dare to threaten Pakistan’s peace and stability.

Chairing a high-level meeting on the country’s law and order situation on Friday, the prime minister reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism in all its forms.

“The struggle to eliminate terrorism will continue, and we will defeat terrorists so decisively that they will never again challenge Pakistan,” he stated.

Highlighting Pakistan’s resilience, PM Shehbaz remarked that enemies of the state are increasingly fearful of the country’s economic progress, which he described as a symbol of national strength.

He lauded the tireless efforts of the country’s security forces and institutions, commending their proactive approach and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.

“Our brave officers and soldiers confront terrorists day and night, laying down their lives to protect the nation,” he said.

The prime minister assured full federal support to enhance the capabilities of provincial governments in the fight against terrorism and extremism. He also emphasized the importance of a unified national stance against militancy.

Shehbaz Sharif noted that the government, in collaboration with provincial authorities, is actively working to strengthen the counter-terrorism narrative, which has begun to yield promising results.

Calling for collective resolve, he urged provinces and institutions to set aside differences and unite against common threats.

In addition to counter-terrorism efforts, the prime minister directed institutions to intensify their crackdown on smuggling and human trafficking, vowing that perpetrators will be held accountable.

He also stressed the urgent need to complete Safe City projects in major urban centers to improve surveillance and public safety.

Highlighting recent institutional developments, PM Shehbaz noted the establishment of the National and Provincial Intelligence Fusion and Threat Assessment Center at NACTA, and the operationalization of the Forensic Science Agency in Islamabad, with further improvements underway in Punjab.

The meeting was attended by key federal ministers, provincial representatives, and senior law enforcement officials.

In his concluding remarks, the prime minister emphasized the importance of unity, calling on all stakeholders to work together to safeguard Pakistan’s future.
