Tehran: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, during his Friday sermon, emphasized that every nation has the right to defend itself against aggression. He reiterated that the Palestinians are justified in their struggle, and Iran stands with them. Khamenei called for unity among Muslim countries.

Delivering his Friday sermon after nearly five years, Ayatollah Khamenei urged Muslims to show solidarity with oppressed people. His last sermon was in January 2020. He stressed the need for Muslim nations to establish a united defense line from Afghanistan to Yemen, and from Iran to Gaza and Lebanon. “Just as the October 7 attack was justified, so is Iran’s right to attack Israel,” he declared.

Ayatollah Khamenei warned that Iran will neither hasten nor delay its response to Israel. He highlighted that the enemies of the Muslim Ummah are common, adding that the Qur’an teaches unity among Muslim nations. “Iran’s enemy is the same as the enemy of Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt, Syria, and Yemen,” he remarked.

He concluded by stating that the unity of believers, as mentioned in the Qur’an, is a sign of divine mercy.
