Quetta, July 20, 2025: Pakistani security forces killed eight terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan, targeting the militant network Fitna-e-Hindustan, which authorities believe is backed by India and involved in recent attacks across the province.

According to intelligence sources, four terrorists were neutralized during a counter-terrorism operation in the Pahrod area late Saturday night. The raid was launched following confirmation of militant movement in the region. Weapons and a flag associated with the banned group were recovered from the site. A clearance operation is still underway to secure the area.

“Terrorists and facilitators of Fitna-e-Hindustan will be made an example,” intelligence officials said, reaffirming the state’s commitment to uprooting foreign-sponsored militancy.

In a separate overnight operation between July 19 and 20, security forces engaged another group of militants in Kalat district, killing four more members of the same network. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that the action was based on credible intelligence. Following a fierce exchange of fire, the terrorists were eliminated, and a cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered.

“A sanitisation operation is ongoing to eliminate any remaining threats,” the ISPR said, reiterating the military’s resolve to eradicate Indian-sponsored terrorism from Pakistani soil and bring all perpetrators to justice.

Meanwhile, Balochistan continues to face a surge in terrorist violence. In a separate incident in Kalat, three passengers were killed and seven injured when a Karachi-bound coach came under gunfire near Niemurgh Cross.

In another chilling attack, militants linked to Fitna-e-Hindustan reportedly abducted and executed nine passengers after intercepting buses in Loralai district.
