Khuzdar, October 4, 2025: Security forces killed at least 14 terrorists and injured more than 20 others in an operation in the Zehri area of Khuzdar district on Saturday, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The military’s media wing said the terrorists had attempted to harass residents, but their plans were thwarted in a swift operation that also destroyed multiple hideouts. Locals welcomed the action, chanting slogans in support of the army and crediting its presence with maintaining peace in the region.

The ISPR said the militants were members of “Fitna-e-Hindustan” and claimed the Khuzdar operation had dealt “a heavy blow” to their network. It reaffirmed the forces’ resolve to continue operations until terrorism is completely eradicated.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi hailed the operation as a “major success,” lauding the “professional capabilities and courage” of the forces. He declared that “Indian-sponsored terrorists will not be allowed to hide anywhere,” adding that the people of Balochistan “stand shoulder to shoulder with the security forces.”

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti also congratulated the army, describing the operation as “proof that the people of Balochistan and the forces are united in crushing the designs of the country’s enemies.” He said: “I am proud of the bravery of my youth and people. Long live Pakistan.”

Separately, a statement issued on X by state broadcaster PTV News credited the army with foiling “an attempt to harass peaceful people in Zehri” and emphasized that the success reflected national unity against terrorism.

The Khuzdar operation is the latest in a string of counterterrorism efforts in the province. A day earlier, seven militants were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Sherani, while four others were apprehended in Khuzdar on Wednesday.

Earlier this year, the government designated all terrorist organizations operating in Balochistan as “Fitna al-Hindustan” — a term meant to highlight what Islamabad alleges is India’s role in fueling unrest in the province.
