Islamabad, December 18, 2025: Former Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, Senator Dr Shehzad Waseem, on Thursday visited the Japanese Embassy in Pakistan, where he recorded his impressions in the guest book.

In his remarks, Dr Waseem said that Pakistan highly values its long-standing and friendly bilateral relations with Japan, stressing the need to further strengthen cooperation in the fields of trade, culture and social development.

He noted that the people of Pakistan regard Japan as a developed, organised and hardworking nation. Japanese advancements in technology, along with its culture of punctuality, cleanliness and collective discipline, are widely admired in Pakistan, he added.

Dr Waseem further said that Japan is viewed in Pakistan as a sincere friend that does not interfere in the country’s internal affairs and maintains its relations on the basis of diplomatic courtesy and mutual respect.
