Islamabad, December 28, 2025: Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Professor Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary on Saturday launched the year-long celebrations marking the 150th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, with a grand national tribute held at the Jinnah Convention Centre.

The landmark ceremony brought together senior political leadership, prominent figures from media and arts, including actors Ahsan Khan and Sarwat Gilani, renowned Quaid scholars, youth representatives, and participants from diverse segments of society to reflect on the life, vision, and enduring legacy of the Founder of Pakistan.

The event was attended by senior dignitaries, including Mr. Tariq Fatimi, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Minister of State for Education Wajiha Qamar, along with other officials and distinguished guests.

Proceedings began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem. After welcome remarks, a specially curated documentary on Quaid-e-Azam was screened, highlighting key milestones of his life and leadership. The program also featured the “URAAN Pakistan” song and a “My Quaid” youth messages video, presenting young Pakistanis’ reflections on Quaid-e-Azam’s ideals and vision.

A key segment of the ceremony included interactive discussions with leading Quaid scholars, who shed light on Quaid-e-Azam’s political foresight, constitutional thinking, and the principles of unity, faith, and discipline. Senior dignitaries presented Quaid’s Vision Statements, emphasizing their continued relevance in addressing Pakistan’s contemporary challenges.

Addressing the gathering, Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar highlighted the role of media, education, and culture in preserving and promoting Quaid-e-Azam’s message for future generations.

In his keynote address, Professor Ahsan Iqbal formally announced the commencement of a nationwide, year-long series of activities, dialogues, and engagements to mark Quaid-e-Azam’s 150th birth anniversary. He stressed the need to translate Quaid-e-Azam’s vision into practical action through national development, good governance, and inclusive progress.

The launch marks the beginning of a comprehensive national campaign aimed at honoring the Founder of the Nation and revitalizing his ideals across Pakistan throughout the year.
