Islamabad, February 23, 2026: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will undertake an official visit to Qatar from February 23 to 24, at the invitation of the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Monday.

The prime minister will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, along with other federal ministers and senior government officials.

According to the Foreign Office, the visit reflects the deep-rooted fraternal ties between Pakistan and Qatar and highlights the shared commitment of both countries to further strengthen their multifaceted cooperation.

During his stay in Doha, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold a bilateral meeting with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The discussions will cover the full spectrum of bilateral relations, including political engagement, economic cooperation, energy partnership, and people-to-people exchanges.

Both sides are also expected to explore new avenues of collaboration, particularly in trade, investment, energy, infrastructure development, and manpower export.

The Foreign Office noted that Pakistan and Qatar enjoy a longstanding partnership based on mutual trust and close coordination at regional and international forums. The visit will also provide an opportunity for the two leaders to exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest, while reaffirming their resolve to work closely for peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
