Turbat, April 17, 2026: Turbat International Airport successfully conducted a full-scale Airport Emergency Exercise–2026 in line with international aviation standards and national safety requirements.

The exercise was carried out in accordance with guidelines set by the International Civil Aviation Organization and aimed to assess the effectiveness of the airport’s Crisis and Emergency Response Plan (CERP), particularly focusing on communication, command, coordination, and response time.

The event was attended by key stakeholders, including representatives from the Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Army, Airport Security Force (ASF), district administration, and other relevant agencies.

Airport Manager Muhammad Ilyas Barrech delivered detailed briefing and debriefing sessions, followed by a live demonstration of airside emergency response operations.

Participating agencies included the Pakistan Airports Authority Rescue and Fire Fighting Services, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, ASF, and the district health administration.

The exercise successfully validated emergency response mechanisms, ensured rapid accessibility to the airfield, and identified minor areas for improvement, further enhancing operational readiness and aviation safety standards at the airport.
