Islamabad, June 13, 2026: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on Saturday welcomed the successful conclusion of negotiations between the United States and Iran, expressing optimism that the emerging agreement would pave the way for lasting peace and stability across the Middle East.
The understanding was reached during a telephone conversation between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders reviewed recent diplomatic developments in the region and welcomed the fact that the US-Iran negotiations had entered their final stage, with an electronic signing ceremony of the peace agreement scheduled for Sunday.
Both foreign ministers expressed hope that the anticipated agreement would help reduce regional tensions and contribute to long-term peace, security and stability in the Gulf and the wider Middle East.
During the conversation, Prince Faisal bin Farhan appreciated Pakistan’s consistent and sustained efforts in promoting mediation, dialogue and diplomatic engagement throughout the negotiation process. He acknowledged Islamabad’s constructive role in facilitating communication among the concerned parties and supporting initiatives aimed at achieving a peaceful settlement.

The two foreign ministers also discussed preparations for the forthcoming Regional Four Foreign Ministers (R-4) meeting, scheduled to take place in Egypt later this month. The meeting is expected to focus on regional security, political cooperation and ongoing diplomatic initiatives aimed at promoting stability across the Middle East.
The latest exchange underscores the close coordination between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on regional and international issues, as both countries continue to support diplomatic solutions to conflicts and work towards strengthening peace and cooperation in the region.
Officials expressed confidence that the expected US-Iran agreement could mark a significant step toward reducing tensions and opening a new chapter of dialogue and regional engagement.
