Cairo, June 21,2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty in Cairo on Sunday, reaffirming the commitment of both countries to further strengthen their longstanding bilateral partnership.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the R4 Ministerial Meeting and focused on reviewing the full spectrum of Pakistan-Egypt relations, as well as exchanging views on regional and international developments.
According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two ministers expressed satisfaction over the positive momentum in bilateral ties and agreed to expand cooperation across a range of sectors, including political engagement, trade and economic collaboration, defence cooperation, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and multilateral diplomacy.
Both sides also agreed to reinvigorate existing bilateral mechanisms to facilitate greater coordination and enhance practical cooperation between the two countries.
During the discussions, the ministers exchanged perspectives on the evolving situation in the Middle East and other regional developments. They welcomed the recently reached peace agreement in the region and expressed hope that its effective implementation would contribute to lasting peace, stability, and prosperity.
The meeting underscored the shared desire of Islamabad and Cairo to strengthen strategic cooperation and deepen engagement on issues of mutual interest at both bilateral and international levels.
Pakistan and Egypt enjoy longstanding friendly relations and cooperate closely in multilateral forums, including the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Both countries have maintained regular diplomatic engagement aimed at expanding cooperation in trade, investment, security, education, and people-to-people exchanges.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the strong and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Egypt and a commitment to further deepen collaboration in pursuit of shared regional and global objectives.
