Islamabad, June 21,2026: The Cuban ambassador to Pakistan, Damián Cordero Torres, was received on a courtesy visit by the Russian ambassador to Pakistan, Albert P. Khorev, at the diplomatic mission of that brotherly country in this capital.
The meeting took place in a frank and cordial atmosphere befitting the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Cuban ambassador took the opportunity to express his heartfelt condolences for the civilian victims of the recent drone attack on the Russian capital and called for a resolution to the conflict between the parties.
He also thanked the Russian diplomat for his government’s solidarity with Cuba in the face of the ruthless U.S. energy blockade and the escalation of unilateral coercive measures from the White House.
For his part, the Russian diplomat thanked the Cuban diplomat for the visit and the gesture. He reiterated his unconditional support for Fidel’s homeland in the year of his centennial and expressed his confidence in Cuba’s ability to move forward.
The visit is part of the Cuban Embassy’s exchanges with the diplomatic corps accredited in Islamabad.
