Islamabad June 22,2026: The 8th PGF Jinnah Development Tour 2026 and the PGF Hazara Junior Amateur Golf Championship 2026, organized by the Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF), successfully concluded at the PIFFERS Golf & Country Club in Abbottabad. Emerging as the new national champions after delivering outstanding performances in their respective categories were Muhammad Sahil, Hamza Waheed, Larib Ur Rehman, Jashwa Amjad, and Sara Amin Khan.
In the highly competitive 54-hole professional field of the 8th PGF Jinnah Development Tour, Muhammad Sahil secured the top spot with a score of 3-over-par (219). Ralfe E Aslam Raja and Waris Ali finished as joint runners-up with identical scores of 4-over-par (220), while Shahbaz Ali (221) and Shahbaz Masih (223) claimed the fourth and fifth positions, respectively. A major highlight of the tournament was the impressive performance of five amateur golfers who played alongside the professionals to qualify for the final round, reflecting the growing depth of golf talent in the country.
In the Boys Category A of the PGF Hazara Junior Amateur Golf Championship, Hamza Waheed clinched the championship title by finishing at even-par (216), while Muhammad Barik Ayub (222) finished as runner-up and Mustafa Asif (228) took the third spot. In Category B, Larib Ur Rehman carded an incredible score of 9-under-par (207) to secure first place, followed by Ahmed Murad Ghumman (209) as runner-up and Mahad Khan (219) in third.
In Category C, Jashwa Amjad emerged victorious with a score of 2-over-par (218), while Mustafa Zubair and Muhammad Razaullah Waheed both carded 222 to finish second and third, respectively, on the leaderboard.
Meanwhile, in the Girls Category, Sara Amin Khan dominated the field to win the championship at 4-over-par (220), with Jasia Tassawar Hussain (241) finishing as runner-up and Amna Malak (270) securing the second runner-up position.
Commandant PIFFERS Centre, Brigadier Adnan Orakzai, graced the closing ceremony as the chief guest and distributed trophies among the position holders. He highly appreciated the PGF’s player development pathways and its continuous efforts to promote golf. Brigadier Orakzai also presented a commemorative shield to PGF Tournament Director, Malik Kamran, in recognition of the successful and transparent conduct of both championships.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, Malik Kamran stated that in strict compliance with the directives of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), a comprehensive age verification process was implemented across all junior categories to ensure absolute transparency and fair competition.
