Manchester, May 11, 2025: A seminar focused on women’s leadership and health was held in Manchester today, marking the 19th such event organized by Creative Minds Media (CMM). The session aimed to raise awareness around the mental, physical, and psychological well-being of women, with a particular focus on the long-term impact of childhood sexual abuse.

Dr. Yasir Abbasi, a renowned psychiatrist, highlighted the importance of addressing childhood trauma, particularly incidents of sexual abuse, and its effects on women’s mental health. “We have worked closely with women to understand how childhood sexual trauma can shape their psychological well-being,” he said. “By raising awareness, we empower women to not only heal themselves but also to better nurture and educate their children for a brighter future.”

Rubina Raja, a key organizer, noted the consistency and growing impact of these seminars. “Today marks our 19th seminar on women’s leadership. We aim to provide practical information to help women address their mental, physical, and social challenges,” she said. “Our initiative is gaining strong momentum, and we are grateful to all the professionals who contribute to these events.”

CMM Chief Executive Farzana Afzal emphasized the importance of providing accurate and accessible information to women about their health. She praised Dr. Abbasi’s presentation, which was well-received by attendees for shedding light on the psychological toll of childhood abuse and its lasting implications.

Rahila Bano, a BBC professional and guest at the seminar, lauded the effort, calling it a valuable experience. “This was a deeply informative workshop that will help women improve their own well-being and, in turn, raise and educate their children more effectively,” she said.

Organizers confirmed that highlights from the event will be shared widely on social media to extend its reach. The seminar is being hailed as a significant and commendable step in empowering women to become informed, resilient, and productive members of society.
