London, June 13, 2025: Renowned Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has publicly addressed the harassment incident that took place during the promotional tour of her latest film, Love Guru, in London. Speaking on a TV channel, alongside co-star Humayun Saeed, Mahira shared her emotional response to the distressing episode.

While discussing the film and her co-stars, Mahira fondly praised the on-screen chemistry between Humayun Saeed and actresses like Mehwish Hayat and Ayeza Khan, calling it “natural and charming.” She also paid tribute to Waheed Murad, referring to him as the original “Love Guru” of Pakistani cinema, known for his timeless charm and romantic appeal.

Turning to the London incident, Mahira opened up for the first time, revealing that she generally feels confident and secure in public settings. However, the situation during the Love Guru promotional event left her feeling “extremely uncomfortable and vulnerable.”

“I turned around and looked at Humayun. He immediately noticed and stepped in,” Mahira said.

Humayun Saeed recalled the moment as well, saying he acted instinctively:

“If any woman—like my sister—is being harassed, I would always defend her,” he said, emphasizing that protecting others in such situations should be a basic human response.

The incident occurred during a crowded public event in London, where inadequate security arrangements led to chaos, including pushing, shoving, and harassment. Videos from the event circulated widely on social media, drawing strong reactions and concern from the public.

Since then, fans and fellow celebrities have applauded Mahira for speaking up about her experience and praised Humayun for his timely intervention. The incident has also reignited conversations about event security and women’s safety in public spaces.
