Special emphasis was laid on efforts to rehabilitate water channels and create eco-friendly public spaces that contribute to the city’s livability and international standing.
Ambassador Dr. Jemal Beker proposed Ethiopia’s participation in Islamabad’s Margalla Hills plantation campaign, drawing inspiration from Ethiopia’s successful Green Corridor Project in Addis Ababa. He acknowledged Ethiopia’s valuable expertise in sustainable urban development and expressed interest in mutual learning.
Ambassador Beker commended the CDA’s performance under Chairman Randhawa’s leadership and lauded the transformation of Islamabad into a model capital. He reiterated Ethiopia’s commitment to strengthening cooperation in sustainable urban infrastructure and environment-friendly growth and expressed interest in learning from Pakistan’s capital city development experience.
