Islamabad, August 3, 2025: Acting on the special instructions of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Government of Pakistan is dispatching another consignment of humanitarian aid to support the people of Gaza, Palestine.
A dedicated relief flight, carrying 100 tons of essential supplies, is set to depart tomorrow from Islamabad International Airport. The consignment includes 65 tons of canned food, 20 tons of dry and infant milk, 5 tons of biscuits, and 10 tons of medicines—part of Pakistan’s continued humanitarian outreach during Gaza’s ongoing crisis.
A send-off ceremony was held at the airport, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik. Representatives of the Al-Khidmat Foundation, senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and NDMA, as well as the Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan, were also present.
Organized under the leadership of NDMA and in collaboration with the Al-Khidmat Foundation and other NGOs, the dispatch is part of a larger 200-ton humanitarian operation being carried out via two chartered flights.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar announced that with this latest delivery, Pakistan’s total aid dispatched to Gaza has reached 17 consignments, amounting to 1,715 tons. With a second flight planned in the coming days, the total will increase to 1,815 tons.
“These sustained efforts reflect Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the people of Gaza,” he said, emphasizing the country’s strong commitment to working with both national and international partners in addressing the humanitarian crisis.
Dar praised the effective coordination by NDMA and acknowledged the contributions of Al-Khidmat Foundation and other partner NGOs for their relentless efforts. He reiterated that Pakistan will continue to stand by the Palestinian people and expand its relief efforts as the situation demands.
The Palestinian Ambassador expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people and government of Pakistan for their steadfast moral, political, and humanitarian support during Gaza’s time of need.
