Rawalpindi, August 9, 2025: The Pakistan–Tajikistan Joint Counter-Terrorism Exercise Dosti-II concluded on Saturday at Fakhrobod Base, Tajikistan, after a six-day training engagement from August 4 to 9.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), two combat teams from the Pakistan Army’s Light Commando Battalion and four combat teams from the Tajikistan Special Forces participated in the exercise. The joint drills successfully achieved all training and military diplomacy objectives, focusing on enhancing coordination in counter-terrorism operations.

The closing ceremony was attended by Defence Attaché (Pakistan) in Tajikistan, Colonel Muhammad Muazzam Zafar, as the chief guest from Pakistan’s side, along with senior Tajik military officials.

Troops from both nations demonstrated high standards of professional skill and operational readiness during the exercises, which aimed to refine counter-terrorism tactics, drills, and procedures through joint training.

The ISPR noted that Dosti-II reflects the strong military-to-military ties between Pakistan and Tajikistan and underscores their shared commitment to regional peace and security.
