London, August 20, 2025: Britain’s King Charles III has expressed deep sorrow over the devastation caused by flash floods in northern Pakistan, which have resulted in heavy casualties and widespread destruction.

In a message conveyed on Wednesday, the King extended condolences over the loss of life and property, while also expressing grief over the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of relief team members engaged in rescue operations. He offered sympathy to the bereaved families and assured the people of Pakistan of his support during these difficult times.

Pakistan has been reeling from weeks of torrential rains that triggered flash floods across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and parts of Punjab. According to official figures, hundreds of people have lost their lives, while thousands of homes, roads, and bridges have been damaged or swept away. Relief operations are under way, but access to several remote valleys remains cut off due to landslides and damaged infrastructure.

The government has appealed for international assistance to cope with the scale of the disaster, as displaced families continue to seek shelter and basic supplies in relief camps.
