Islamabad, October 13,2024-Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sheikh Waqas Akram has stated that they are not receiving good news from inside the jail. Talking to a TV channel, Sheikh Waqas Akram emphasized that the health of the party’s founder, Imran Khan, is crucial, and they have not been getting positive updates.

He mentioned that the authorities have been opening the jail in the morning to delay the Sangjani rally and that for the past two weeks, lawyers and family members have not been allowed to meet Imran Khan.

The PTI leader further added that if Imran Khan’s sisters and doctors confirm that he is fine, the issue will be resolved. He questioned whether meetings between doctors and the PTI founder could not be arranged.

He asserted that reports of disputes within the party are incorrect, stating that they want to register their point of view through protests and intended to go to Islamabad after their rally in Punjab.

Sheikh Waqas Akram also mentioned that they respect the opinions of those they are in contact with regarding constitutional amendments, noting that members of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) are also engaging with them.

He expressed the need for their stance to reach PML-N and PPP, stating that this would help resolve the matter, recalling that during Imran Khan’s tenure, Bilawal Bhutto had held a rally in Sindh.
