Islamabad, September 10, 2025: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday strongly condemned Israel’s recent strike on a residential compound in Doha, calling it “naked aggression” and “highly condemnable.”

While address the federal cabinet, the prime minister said he had spoken with the Emir of Qatar, conveying Pakistan’s solidarity in the wake of the attack. The Qatari leader expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s support. Sharif also deplored the ongoing bloodshed in Gaza, where he said Israeli brutality had “no precedent in world history.”

Sharing details of his recent visit to China, Sharif termed the Pakistan-China Business Conference in Beijing “very effective and successful,” crediting cabinet members, the SIFC, Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, and officials for their efforts.

The conference concluded with agreements worth $8.5 billion, marking a significant step in bilateral cooperation. Under CPEC Phase-II, he said, focus would shift to the agriculture sector, with China contributing 85% of investment and Pakistan 15%.

The prime minister added that US companies had also shown readiness to invest in Pakistan’s mines and minerals sector using modern technology. Pakistan, he stressed, seeks to strengthen its strategic partnership with China while also improving ties with the United States.

He vowed strict follow-up on investment commitments, warning he would not allow “status quo, complacency or inordinate delays” that had plagued the country in the past.

Paying tribute to Major Adnan Aslam Shaheed, who embraced martyrdom while fighting militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sharif said he attended the funeral and was moved by the high morale of the bereaved family.

He lauded the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces, calling their struggle against enemies of the state “a source of pride.” Sharif condemned propaganda against the military on social media, terming it a “fitna” that must be identified and crushed.

“Such repugnant behaviour towards our security forces is unacceptable,” he said, urging collective responsibility to root out hostile campaigns.
