Lahore, October 10, 2025: Pakistani cinema’s beloved duo Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan are reuniting on the big screen in the long-awaited romantic drama Neelofar, which is finally set for a worldwide theatrical release on November 28.
Written and directed by Ammar Rasool and produced by Usaf Shariq, Neelofar has been one of Pakistan’s most anticipated films since its production wrapped up in 2020. However, its release was repeatedly delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The official poster — launched this week across social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram — features the two lead stars in a soft, nostalgic setting. An animated teaser accompanying the release opens with Fawad’s voice saying, “Neelofar naam hai uska” (“Her name is Neelofar”).
The film’s official Facebook page announced: “In cinemas worldwide — 28th November. Save the date!”
Fans are eagerly awaiting the reunion of Fawad and Mahira, whose on-screen chemistry first captivated audiences in the hit television drama Humsafar. The pair last appeared together in Bilal Lashari’s record-breaking blockbuster The Legend of Maula Jatt, which became the highest-grossing Pakistani film of all time.
The ensemble cast of Neelofar includes Madiha Imam, Sarwat Gilani, Atiqa Odho, Behrooz Sabzwari, Gohar Rasheed, Faisal Qureshi, Samiya Mumtaz, Rashid Farooqui, Chand Baral, Seemi Raheal, Adeel Hashmi, Hira Tareen, and Navid Shahzad.
With its poetic tone, soulful storytelling, and the much-loved Fawad–Mahira pairing, Neelofar is poised to be one of the most talked-about cinematic releases of the year.
