New Zealand secures test victory in India after 36 years

Bengaluru, October 20, 2024- In an historic win, New Zealand defeated India in a Test match for the first time in 36 years on Indian soil. The victory came in the Bengaluru Test, where New Zealand secured an 8-wicket win over India.

With this win, New Zealand takes a 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series. On the final day of the match, New Zealand chased down the target of 107 runs, losing only 2 wickets.

New Zealand’s Will Young remained unbeaten with 48 runs, while Rachin Ravindra contributed 39 not out.

It’s noteworthy that India’s batting struggled in the first innings, collapsing for just 46 runs, while in the second innings, they managed to post a total of 462 runs.
