Mumbai, October 20, 2024 – Following the recent murder of prominent political figure Baba Siddiqui, there are rising concerns regarding the safety of Bollywood star Salman Khan. In a recent interview, former director Salim Khan and father of Salman Khan stated that his son, known for his love of animals, would not apologize for actions he did not commit, specifically referencing past accusations of hunting.

Salman Khan has received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, and there have been incidents of gunfire directed at his residence. These threats are tied to a 25-year-old case involving allegations of poaching a blackbuck, which is considered sacred by a religious group affiliated with Bishnoi. This group has previously threatened Khan over the incident, particularly during the filming of “Hum Saath-Saath Hain” in Rajasthan in 1998.

In April this year, shots were fired outside Khan’s home, leading to the arrest of two young men linked to the Bishnoi gang, who claimed responsibility for the attack. Khan was convicted in 2018 for the illegal hunting of protected species but had his sentence suspended shortly after.

Baba Siddiqui, who was murdered recently, was known to be a close friend of Salman Khan, which has fueled concerns for the actor’s safety. Siddiqui was well-connected within Bollywood and was famous for hosting lavish iftar parties during Ramadan.

In light of these events, Salim Khan commented on the friendship between his son and Siddiqui, expressing sorrow over the loss and highlighting Siddiqui’s good nature. “He helped many people; there might have been conflicts, but our relationship was good,” he remarked.

Regarding the ongoing threats, Salim Khan stated, “Life and death are in God’s hands,” and acknowledged the importance of heeding police advice for their protection. He also expressed skepticism about calls for Salman to seek forgiveness at a temple in Rajasthan, emphasizing that true apologies come from wrongdoing.

“Apologizing implies admitting guilt,” he clarified. “What should we ask for forgiveness for? Salman hasn’t harmed any animal, not even a cockroach.” He asserted that the repeated threats have created tension within the family but insisted that there is no basis for guilt.
