Islamabad, December 8, 2025: A video showing Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter jets escorting Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto during his arrival in Pakistan has gone viral, capturing widespread attention and praise for the ceremonial display.

Officials said six JF-17 fighter aircraft formed an escort formation as President Subianto’s plane entered Pakistani airspace, presenting an aerial salute as a distinguished gesture of hospitality. The jets surrounded the Indonesian leader’s aircraft, creating a visually striking formation in line with Pakistan’s longstanding tradition of welcoming foreign dignitaries.

President Prabowo expressed his gratitude to the Pakistan Air Force, the country’s leadership, and the people of Pakistan for the warm reception.

Officials described the grand aerial display as a symbol of the strong bilateral ties and mutual respect between Pakistan and Indonesia. The aerial salute underscores the enduring friendship and brotherhood shared by the two nations and reflects Pakistan’s commitment to cordial diplomatic protocols for visiting leaders of friendly countries.
