Gujranwala/Sialkot, December 13,2025: Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Saturday said the Pakistan Army remained fully focused on addressing both internal and external challenges, including hostile hybrid campaigns, extremist ideologies and divisive elements aimed at undermining national stability.

According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the CDF made the remarks during his visit to the Gujranwala and Sialkot garrisons, where he was briefed on the formations’ operational readiness and key initiatives undertaken to enhance combat preparedness.

During the visit, Field Marshal Munir observed field training exercises and an advanced simulator training facility, lauding the formations’ high professional standards and overall state of readiness.

Emphasising the importance of technological adaptability, he said modern warfare required agility, precision, situational awareness and swift decision-making, the ISPR said.

Interacting with officers and soldiers, the army chief appreciated their high morale and unwavering commitment to national security, while underscoring the need for rigorous, mission-oriented training to meet evolving security challenges.

The statement reiterated that the Pakistan Army remained fully focused on countering internal and external threats, including hybrid warfare, extremist narratives and divisive forces seeking to destabilise the country.
