Islamabad, December 27, 2025: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), in collaboration with Connected Pakistan, on Saturday successfully hosted Growth Summit-25, bringing together leading entrepreneurs, technology experts, digital innovators and aspiring startups to explore pathways for sustainable economic growth through innovation and entrepreneurship.
ICCI President Sardar Tahir Mehmood, who attended the event as chief guest, said Pakistan’s future economic strength lay in technology-driven enterprises, skilled youth and globally competitive startups. Addressing the summit, he emphasised that platforms such as Growth Summit-25 were vital for connecting young entrepreneurs with knowledge, mentorship and market opportunities.
“Pakistan is blessed with a large youth population, which must be transformed into a productive force through skill development, innovation and digital enablement,” he said, adding that with the right ecosystem, Pakistani youth could build global brands, create employment and significantly boost national exports.
The ICCI president said the chamber was fully committed to promoting IT, startups, small and medium enterprises and digital entrepreneurship. He added that ICCI was actively strengthening linkages between industry, academia and government, and said its collaboration with Connected Pakistan reflected a shared vision for a digitally connected and innovation-led economy.
Earlier, the summit featured master training sessions by prominent industry experts, including Syed Ahmad, Shahid Iqbal, Hamid Mahmood and Shajeel Afzal. The sessions focused on leadership and innovation, high-impact web solutions, international brand building, modern digital commerce, and emerging trends in social and e-commerce platforms. A special interactive session titled “Ask the Millionaires” offered participants firsthand insights into entrepreneurial journeys and success strategies.
Organisers from Connected Pakistan lauded ICCI’s leadership, including Dr Muhammad Usman, Convener of the ICCI Software Development Committee, and Aizaz Mohammad, Convener of the ICCI IT, Telecom and Computer Hardware Committee, saying such collaborations were crucial for empowering startups and accelerating Pakistan’s digital transformation.
The event was attended by Senator Mian Atiq, ICCI Vice President Irfan Chaudhry, a large number of youth and professionals, ICCI executives including Mohammad Waseem Chaudhry and Zulqurnain Abbasi, Syed Arslan Shah from Connected Pakistan, and ICCI member Israr-ul-Haq Mashwani.
At the conclusion of the summit, ICCI President Sardar Tahir Mehmood distributed certificates and souvenirs among participants, marking the successful completion of Growth Summit-25.
