Riyadh, January 12, 2026: Pakistan’s Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik will represent the country at the Future Minerals Forum (FMF) 2026, being hosted by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources from January 13 to 15 in Riyadh.

The Pakistan delegation, led by Minister Malik, comprises senior policymakers, heads of state-owned enterprises, private sector representatives and industry leaders from the country’s mining sector. Leadership from major organizations, including Pakistan Petroleum Limited, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, Mari Energies, Government Holdings (Private) Limited, Frontier Works Organization, Pakistan Minerals (Private) Limited, Saindak Metals Limited, Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation, Balochistan Mineral Resource Limited, Bolan Mining Enterprises, Globacore Minerals Limited and Balochistan Mineral Exploration Company, along with service providers such as Biafo Industries Limited, will participate in the forum.

Now in its fifth year, the FMF has emerged as a premier global platform shaping the future of the mining sector. At the event, Pakistan will present itself as a “Mineral Marvel”, highlighting the vast untapped potential of its mineral resources. The Pakistan Pavilion will showcase the country’s geology, ongoing and proposed mining projects, and key sector players, while also presenting attractive investment opportunities through dedicated exhibits and stalls.

Participants will also have the opportunity to view the National Minerals Data Center, a comprehensive digital portal designed to modernize mineral governance by providing a consolidated, reliable and accessible source of information on Pakistan’s mineral sector.

During the forum, Minister Malik will take part in the Ministerial Roundtable, contributing to high-level discussions on the resurgence of global mining and Pakistan’s role in this evolving landscape. The Pakistan delegation will also hold a 90-minute dedicated session on January 14, featuring the unveiling of a promotional film on Pakistan’s mining potential, followed by a detailed presentation by the Minister and a panel discussion. The panel will include representatives from international companies such as Barrick Mining Corporation and the Metallurgical Corporation of China, alongside leaders from Pakistan’s state-owned and private mining companies.

In addition, the Minister for Petroleum has been invited to participate in a separate ministerial panel focusing on the role of governments in driving mineral supply and ensuring sustainable growth in the global mining sector.
