Chairman Senate condemns bomb blast on police vehicle in Tank

Islamabad, January 12, 2026: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has strongly condemned the bomb blast targeting an armored police vehicle on Gomal Bazaar Road in District Tank, expressing deep grief over the loss of precious lives.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Chairman Senate conveyed profound sorrow and extended heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families. He paid rich tribute to the professional services and supreme sacrifices of the martyred police personnel, stating that the nation will always remember and honor the bravery of those who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani emphasized that such cowardly acts of terrorism cannot weaken the resolve or morale of the nation. He reaffirmed that the entire country stands united against terrorism and remains shoulder to shoulder with the security forces in their steadfast efforts to eliminate this menace.

The Chairman Senate also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and for patience and strength for the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss.
