Islamabad, January 16, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday chaired a meeting aimed at accelerating the growth of Pakistan’s e-commerce ecosystem, expanding digital trade, and strengthening the country’s IT-enabled services sector.
The meeting reviewed key challenges and opportunities in the digital economy and discussed measures to enhance policy coordination, improve the regulatory environment, and support innovation and exports in the IT and digital trade domains.
The session was attended by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, the Secretaries of Information Technology, Finance and Commerce, as well as senior officials from relevant ministries.
