Moscow hosts CIS ambassadors’ meeting on regional cooperation and integration

Moscow, January 27, 2026: Russia hosted the traditional meeting of Foreign Minister S.V. Lavrov with ambassadors of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states accredited in Moscow on Tuesday.

The session was attended by CIS Secretary General S.N. Lebedev and heads of executive bodies of other Eurasian organizations. The discussions took place in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, with participants exchanging views on pressing international issues and reviewing the results of multilateral cooperation within Eurasian integration frameworks in 2025.

The meeting also focused on setting priorities for the near future, including strengthening foreign policy coordination, enhancing trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation, and ensuring regional security across member states.
