Oslo, February 4, 2026: As part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to resume Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights to Oslo, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Norway, Saadia Altaf Qazi, held a telephonic conversation with Arif Habib, head of the consortium holding majority stakes in the national carrier.

During the discussion, matters related to the restoration of direct air connectivity between Pakistan and Norway were explored, underscoring the importance of improved travel links for the Pakistani diaspora and bilateral engagement.

In addition, Ambassador Qazi met with Route Development authorities at AVINOR, including Martin Langaas and Joachim Andersen, to discuss the feasibility and prospects of restarting the route.

The Pakistani envoy is actively working to facilitate the launch of direct flights between the two countries, a move expected to enhance people-to-people contacts, promote trade, and strengthen overall bilateral relations.
