Jeddah, February 8, 2026: A prestigious dinner was hosted in Jeddah by President of the Pakistan Investors Forum, Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood Dhol, in honor of Ahmad Hassan Mattoo, President of the Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The gathering brought together prominent figures from political, social, business, and media circles.

Notable attendees included Commercial Consul at the Pakistan Consulate in Jeddah Saadia Khan, Press Consul Irfan Chaudhry, former Federal Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Chairman of the Pakistan Investors Forum Chaudhry Azhar Abbas Warraich, Chairman PML-N Saudi Arabia Chaudhry Akram Gujjar, and several other distinguished personalities.

The event began with a welcome address by Chaudhry Akram Gujjar, who introduced the chief guest and warmly received him on behalf of the Pakistan Investors Forum.

Speaking on the occasion, Ahmad Hassan Mattoo thanked the hosts and described his interaction with the Pakistani business community in Jeddah as an honor. He noted that Saudi Arabia is a vast and rapidly growing market and stressed the importance of bringing Pakistani traders there in an organized manner. Highlighting Gujrat as a major industrial hub, he said many locally manufactured products have strong potential in the Saudi market, citing the installation of Gujrat-made fans at the Grand Mosque as a matter of national pride. He also appreciated the Pakistan Investors Forum for facilitating business opportunities.

Commercial Consul Saadia Khan reaffirmed the Consulate’s full support for Pakistani traders, emphasizing the need for thorough preparation and strong business profiles to capitalize on the Kingdom’s vast opportunities. She praised the Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and urged Pakistani chambers to strengthen international linkages to help local products reach global markets.

Former Federal Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain commended Mattoo’s leadership, observing that while Pakistani traders have traditionally focused on European markets, Saudi Arabia has now emerged as one of the most profitable destinations. He encouraged traders to prioritize the Saudi market for better returns.

Host Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood Dhol welcomed the guests and underscored the importance of stronger institutional ties between Pakistani and Saudi chambers. He said the Pakistan Investors Forum, in collaboration with the Pakistan Consulate in Jeddah, is facilitating traders already in the Kingdom while guiding new investors from Pakistan.

The dinner was attended by senior members of the Pakistan Investors Forum, business leaders, and media representatives. Participants concluded the event by reaffirming their commitment to promoting Pak–Saudi trade relations, expanding cooperation, and enhancing the presence of Pakistani products in the Saudi market.
