Islamabad, February 11, 2026: Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, called on Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Dr. Musadik Malik at his office in Islamabad to discuss bilateral cooperation and shared environmental priorities.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kistafin appreciated the warmth and hospitality extended to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and his delegation during their recent visit to Pakistan. He expressed satisfaction over the growing brotherly relations between the two countries and invited Dr. Malik to participate in the upcoming Regional Ecological Summit scheduled to be held in Astana in April.

Dr. Musadik Malik welcomed the invitation, highlighting the strong historical and cultural ties between Pakistan and Kazakhstan. He noted that both nations have much to learn from each other and stressed the importance of expanding collaboration and trade, not only bilaterally but also with the wider Central Asian region.

Both sides reviewed the practical implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed during the Kazakh president’s visit and explored potential avenues for joint projects, particularly in artificial intelligence, financial technology, and e-governance.

The meeting also addressed pressing environmental challenges, including water scarcity and climate change, with a focus on enhancing cooperation in environmental protection and promoting sustainable development.
