Riyadh, March 19,2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar participated in the Ministerial Meeting of Arab and Islamic countries held in Riyadh on March 18, where leaders discussed evolving regional developments and security challenges.

The meeting, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, brought together foreign ministers from several countries, including Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Syria, Türkiye, and the United Arab Emirates.

During his address, Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong support for the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and political independence of all regional states. He emphasized the urgent need to halt attacks against sovereign territories and called for restraint amid escalating tensions.

Highlighting the importance of unity within the Muslim world, he urged a swift end to ongoing conflicts and stressed dialogue and diplomacy as the only viable path forward. He also strongly condemned what he described as continued aggression and provocations by Israel against countries in the region.

The foreign minister denounced attacks on civilians, as well as energy and critical infrastructure, warning that such actions risk undermining regional energy security and exacerbating global economic challenges.

Dar briefed participants on Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic outreach and reiterated Islamabad’s willingness to play a constructive role in promoting peace and stability in the region.

On the sidelines of the meeting, he held bilateral discussions with key counterparts, including Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, focusing on regional developments and bilateral cooperation.

Dar also participated in a quadrilateral meeting involving the foreign ministers of Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye, aimed at enhancing coordination on key regional issues.

At the conclusion of the ministerial meeting, participating countries issued a joint statement reflecting their shared positions on regional peace, security, and cooperation.
