Lahore, March 31,2026: A comprehensive Foreign Object Debris (FOD) Walk was successfully conducted at the Apron Area of Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, under the supervision of the COO / Airport Manager, with the collaboration of Gerry’s dnata. The activity witnessed active participation from Deputy Airport Manager, Manager Airside, Senior Terminal Manager, Terminal Managers, PAA Section Incharges, Airport Security Force (ASF) representatives, airline heads, and Ground Handling Agencies, reflecting a strong collective commitment towards maintaining the highest standards of airside safety. The session commenced with opening remarks by the Airport Manager, who underscored the critical importance of FOD removal and highlighted the potential hazards it poses to aircraft operations. The Manager Airside further elaborated on the significance of proactive FOD management and emphasized the shared responsibility of all stakeholders in ensuring a safe operational environment.
Following the briefing session, the FOD Walk was conducted across the apron area in a coordinated and systematic manner. Upon conclusion, the Chairman AOC appreciated the initiative and stressed the importance of sustained vigilance and continued adherence to safety protocols.
In the closing remarks, the Deputy Airport Manager commended the efforts of the Airside team, noting with satisfaction that the presence of FOD on the apron was almost negligible, which reflects the team’s diligence and professionalism. The Manager Airside expressed gratitude to all participants for their active involvement and cooperation, and particularly acknowledged the valuable support extended by Gerry’s dnata in the successful execution of the activity.
