Deputy Chairman Senate reaffirms commitment to Balochistan’s development, receives honorary shield in Quetta

Quetta, April 1, 2026: Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan Nasar has reaffirmed his commitment to the development and prosperity of Balochistan, stating that public welfare and sustainable progress remain his top priorities.

He made these remarks while addressing a ceremony held at Serena Hotel Quetta, where Chairman Balochistan Tribal Union Sardar Akbar Khan Kharoti presented him with an honorary shield in recognition of his public services and contributions to the province’s development.

The ceremony was attended by members of the legal fraternity, social figures, and youth representatives, who appreciated the Deputy Chairman’s efforts for Balochistan.

Expressing gratitude, Syedal Khan Nasar said the award reflects the trust of the people of the province. He reiterated his resolve to work for youth empowerment, provincial development, and national unity, adding that state institutions are committed to utilizing all available resources to put Balochistan on the path of progress.

Separately, the Deputy Chairman Senate held a meeting in Quetta with Bismillah Nasar, senior advocate Sohail Ahmed Rajput, Afnan Ahmed Kakar, and other social figures. The participants discussed key issues related to public welfare, development, and challenges facing the province, while appreciating his role in addressing public concerns.

Referring to the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, he said the government is taking practical steps to ensure the uplift of Balochistan and provide relief to its people. He noted that development projects are being implemented at an accelerated pace and their positive impact will soon become visible.

Highlighting the province’s potential, he said Balochistan is rich in natural resources and emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for youth to drive future growth.

The Deputy Chairman Senate reiterated his commitment to resolving the province’s issues through all available means and ensuring long-term, sustainable development. During the event, youth members of the Quetta Development Foundation also presented him with a bouquet and expressed confidence in his leadership.
