Islamabad, April 4, 2026: Pakistani adventure athlete and snowboarder Samar Khan has successfully completed the Fjällräven Polar 2026, crossing the finish line of a grueling 300-kilometre dogsled journey across the frozen Arctic tundra.

Sharing her achievement on Instagram, Khan described the expedition as far more than a physical challenge, saying it pushed her through “exhaustion, doubt, and limits I didn’t know existed.”

She reflected on days spent in the freezing wilderness, where the silence of the Arctic environment forced her to confront both hardship and self-belief. The experience, she said, tested her “resilience, courage, and belief,” marking not just the completion of an endurance feat but the culmination of a longer personal struggle.

Khan revealed that uncertainty surrounding her visa had nearly derailed the journey, noting that she received her stamped passport just one day before departure. “This journey challenged me long before it even began,” she wrote.

Describing the accomplishment as a moment of national pride, Khan said the achievement belonged not only to her but to Pakistan as well. She also expressed gratitude to the Fjällräven team and the Swedish mission in Pakistan for facilitating her participation.

The Fjällräven Polar is a demanding long-distance expedition involving dogsled travel across extreme sub-zero terrain, requiring sustained physical endurance and mental resilience over several days.

Khan concluded her message with an inspiring note, encouraging others to challenge perceived limits and pursue ambitious goals despite obstacles.
