California, May 4, 2026: Prominent US politician and California gubernatorial candidate Mohammad Arif has expressed confidence in Pakistan’s growing diplomatic role, saying the country could play a vital part in fostering improved relations between the United States and Iran.

In a statement issued on Monday, Arif said Pakistan has consistently projected itself as a “country of peace” and is well-positioned to help bridge differences within the Islamic world as well as between Washington and Tehran.

He said the United States trusts Pakistan’s leadership and diplomatic outreach in the Muslim world, including its relations with both the Saudi Arabia and the Iran.

Arif expressed hope that ongoing diplomatic efforts and mediation initiatives involving Pakistan would contribute to a “strong and constructive reconciliation” between the United States and Iran in the near future.

He added that regional peace and stability could be strengthened through dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperative diplomacy among global and regional stakeholders.
