Islamabad, July 29, 2026: Pakistan and Egypt have expressed grave concern over the worsening situation in Palestine, condemning continued Israeli military operations in Gaza and the occupied West Bank while calling for an immediate end to hostilities and unrestricted humanitarian assistance.

The understanding was reached during a telephone conversation between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Egypt’s Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty on Wednesday, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the conversation, the two foreign ministers strongly condemned the continued Israeli military actions in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, the escalating violence by Israeli settlers, and repeated violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem.

Both sides stressed the urgent need for an immediate cessation of hostilities, unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid, and full respect for international law to address the humanitarian crisis in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The two ministers also discussed Jordan’s proposal to convene a meeting of Arab and Islamic countries aimed at coordinating diplomatic efforts in support of the Palestinian people and strengthening international engagement on the issue.

They further exchanged views on recent regional developments, emphasizing the importance of restraint, dialogue and diplomacy to prevent further escalation and preserve peace and stability across the Middle East.

The telephone conversation reaffirmed the close coordination between Pakistan and Egypt on regional issues and their shared commitment to advancing diplomatic initiatives in support of the Palestinian cause.
