Islamabad, July 30, 2026: Pakistan and Algeria have reaffirmed their commitment to revitalising bilateral relations and expanding economic cooperation, with both sides agreeing to expedite preparations for the next session of their Joint Ministerial Commission.

The understanding was reached during a meeting between Algeria’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Brahim Romani, and Secretary General of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Muhammad Humair Karim, in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation under the framework of the Algeria-Pakistan Joint Ministerial Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation.

They agreed to work closely on preparations for the third session of the Joint Ministerial Commission, which will be held in Islamabad at the earliest opportunity.

The discussions also focused on expanding collaboration in a range of sectors by leveraging the historical ties and scientific, technological and economic potential of both countries.

Both sides expressed confidence that closer cooperation would contribute to mutual progress, economic development and shared prosperity while further strengthening the longstanding friendly relations between Pakistan and Algeria.
