Islamabad, August 28, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on Friday and exchanged views on regional developments and matters of mutual interest.
According to the Foreign Office, Ishaq Dar congratulated Prince Faisal on the consensus election of Mauritania’s Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed as the new Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The two foreign ministers also discussed regional developments and matters of mutual interest, including the forthcoming meeting of the R4.
Both ministers agreed to remain closely engaged and maintain coordination on issues of common interest.
The conversation underscored the continued close diplomatic coordination between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on regional and multilateral matters.
