New York, September 22, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday.
The two foreign ministers reaffirmed the deeply rooted and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and welcomed the signing of an agreement on mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official/special passports.
Ishaq Dar expressed Pakistan’s steadfast solidarity with Saudi Arabia and condemned the recent attacks targeting the Kingdom.
The two sides also discussed matters relating to the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation under the agreement.
They underscored the importance of continued cooperation to promote regional peace, stability and security.
The two foreign ministers also stressed the importance of sustained high-level exchanges and close coordination on bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly session in New York.
