Tashkent October 11,2026: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has strongly condemned the reported Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which reportedly resulted in the loss of innocent lives and injuries to civilians.
In a statement, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry expressed profound shock over the incident and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, while conveying sympathy to all those affected. It also wished the injured a swift and full recovery.
Uzbekistan reaffirmed its unwavering support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing that attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure constitute serious violations of international law and must cease immediately.
The ministry emphasized that protecting civilian lives and ensuring the safety of critical infrastructure must remain an absolute priority.
It called for an immediate halt to such attacks and urged all parties to exercise restraint, avoid further escalation and resolve their differences through dialogue and diplomatic means, in accordance with international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.
The statement reiterated Uzbekistan’s solidarity with the brotherly people and government of Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to promoting peace, stability and security across the region.
