Doha, January 16, 2025: A ceasefire agreement has been finalized between Hamas and Israel to end the Gaza conflict, announced Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. The agreement, mediated by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States, will take effect on January 19 and includes provisions for a phased implementation.

- Humanitarian Aid: The first phase will prioritize delivering aid to the Gaza Strip and addressing the needs of displaced civilians.
- Prisoner Exchange: Hamas will release 33 Israeli prisoners, including soldiers and civilians, while Israel will release Palestinian detainees, including those imprisoned for over 15 years.
- Troop Withdrawal: Israeli forces will gradually withdraw from civilian areas in Gaza during the initial six-week ceasefire phase.
