Islamabad, January 20, 2025: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday directed authorities to develop a comprehensive plan for the construction of modern hotels and facilities through joint ventures and public-private partnerships to promote tourism across Pakistan.

Chairing a meeting focused on Capital Development Authority (CDA) affairs, the prime minister emphasized the importance of providing world-class facilities to attract both local and international tourists. “The availability of modern amenities will drive tourism growth across the country,” he remarked.

The prime minister lauded the CDA for its successful organization of recent international conferences and events in the federal capital. “Hosting international conferences is a testament to our diplomatic achievements and reflects the renewed confidence of friendly countries in Pakistan,” he noted.

He highlighted the need to enhance hotels, hospitals, and other infrastructure to support international-level conferences and events. Additionally, the premier instructed the CDA to ensure the provision of international-standard facilities for foreign guests and further improve amenities for the residents of Islamabad.

The meeting was briefed that pre-feasibility studies for constructing new hotels and reviving non-operational government buildings in Islamabad had already been prepared.

The session was attended by Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, the Chairman of the CDA, and other senior officials.
