Islamabad, January 20, 2025: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday underscored the importance of flawless preparations for Hajj 2025, warning that no negligence in arrangements for the pilgrims would be tolerated.

“Pilgrims are the guests of Allah Almighty, and it is our duty to ensure the highest standard of service and assistance for them,” the prime minister stated while chairing a meeting to review the progress of Hajj preparations.

The prime minister directed officials to guarantee all possible facilities for the Hujjaj (pilgrims) during the upcoming Hajj season. He instructed that a comprehensive briefing on the progress of Hajj preparations, including details of facilities and logistical arrangements, be presented in the coming days.

Particular emphasis was placed on the selection process for Moavineen Hajj (Hajj assistants), their responsibilities, and the overall organizational framework. The premier called for the selection of capable, reputable officers for Hajj duties and stressed the need for thorough training programs for pilgrims.

“Merit and transparency must be ensured in the deployment of Moavineen, and special attention should be given to residence, travel, and other facilities for the pilgrims,” he added.

The meeting also discussed advancements in the Hajj Fund, which is reportedly in its final stages. Officials provided updates on plans to provide mobile SIM cards to pilgrims from Pakistan, continuing last year’s initiative. It was also noted that the mobile application developed for the assistance of Hujjaj remains operational.

Federal Ministers Ahad Khan Cheema and Chaudhry Salik Hussain, along with other senior officials, attended the meeting, which focused on ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience for pilgrims during Hajj 2025.
