Tragic road accident near Ranipur claims 10 lives

Ranipur, February 15, 2025: At least 10 people lost their lives and several others were injured in a fatal road accident near Ranipur, Sindh, Provincial Minister for Rehabilitation Makhdoom Mehboob-ul-Zaman confirmed.

According to initial reports, a van carrying pilgrims to Sehwan’s Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine met with an accident. Rescue teams swiftly arrived at the scene, transporting the deceased and injured to nearby hospitals for medical assistance.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident, extending his heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families. He has directed authorities to provide all possible assistance to those affected and called for a detailed investigation to determine the cause of the accident.

Authorities are continuing rescue and relief operations, while officials have urged travelers to exercise caution on highways to prevent further tragedies.
