Jeddah, February 15, 2025: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza met with Saudi Assistant Minister of Defence Major General Talal Bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi and Saudi Chief of General Staff General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili during his official visit to Saudi Arabia.
Gen Sahir Shamshad is in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) for the 8th round of the Pakistan-KSA Joint Military Cooperation Committee (JMCC) meeting, where discussions focused on strategic security issues, regional developments, and bilateral defence cooperation.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Gen Sahir Shamshad and Gen Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili co-chaired the JMCC meeting, reviewing the ongoing military cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening military and security ties, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts in maintaining regional stability.
The Saudi military leadership praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
Upon Gen Sahir Shamshad’s arrival at the Armed Forces Headquarters, a smartly turned-out military contingent presented a Guard of Honour, underscoring the deep-rooted defence partnership between the two nations.
The visit reaffirms Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s longstanding military ties, fostering deeper cooperation in regional security and defence strategies.
